What is the best time for deer feeders to go off?

There's a lot of debate out there about when to set your deer feeder. Of course, you're going to need to consider location and the time of the year as this may affect any general advice. 

Overall, it's best to set your feeder timer as close to sunrise/sunset if you're hunting over an open field. On the other side of things, if you're hunting in an area with more concealment you can extend beyond these times as deer are more comfortable in these settings. 

What to feed deer instead of corn?
