Moultrie Deer Feeders has been around since 1979, producing some of the top deer feeders available to whitetail hunters. Not only do they provide a large selection of deer feeders, but each and every one of them is built with the highest quality in mind.
The only problem with Moultrie feeders is the fact that there are too many to choose from. It's difficult to quickly tell which one is right for you, and which one is best-suited for your style of hunting.
I've hunted over a Moultrie deer feeder for close to 10 years now, and I've personally tested a few of their other models to understand what works best for me. Now, of course, my style of hunting might not match up with yours, and that's why I wanted to create this blog and comparison chart.
The information below is going summarize the best Moultrie deer feeders available today for each and every type of hunter. While each selection is a little different, they still produce the reliable results Moultrie is known for. Check out the Moultrie products below and good luck this season!

The most important question you can ask when it comes to a Moultrie feeder is - Which Moultrie Deer Feeder is the Best? My answer is - the Moultrie Deer Feeder Elite II!
I chose the Moultrie Deer Feeder Elite II first because it's one I've personally used for the past 10 years or so. It's not only held up to 10 years of being left out in the woods, but Moultrie's design has allowed me to replace the feeder kit whenever I've needed to upgrade.
The Moultrie Elite II is made out of a tough, heavy-duty polymer hopper that holds up to 200 lbs. of deer feed. It can also be adjusted to different heights with it's durable steel legs - 5.5, 7 or 8 ft.
As far as the feeder kit, this model comes equipped with the Pro Hunter II - the same model mentioned in our other picks below. This feeder kit is one of Moultrie's most popular kits due to the following specs:
Final question - Do you know where this feeder ranks in our blog about the Best Deer Feeders for this year? Check it out!

If you're looking for a large capacity Moultrie deer feeder, look no further than the Moultrie 325 Elite II. This bad boy was chosen because it has one of the toughest polymer-designed hopper shells available for this capacity level.
The Moultrie 325 Elite II has a massive 325 lb. feed capacity with a relatively new hopper design. This particular design has a slightly lower height and wider base to evenly distribute the feed and minimize the possibility of the tripod feeder tipping over.
One of my favorite features is the Quick-locking design which means that you can easily switch and upgrade feeder kits if you ever want to make a change. While I think you'll be impressed with the Pro Hunter II, you never know which feeder kits Moultrie might come up with next.
It's always nice to know you can attach new feeder kits to older hoppers and not have to buy a completely new feeder!

It's easy to forget about hanging feeders as so many hunters routinely go out and purchase a typical tripod design. Because of this, I thought it was important to point out Moultrie's best hanging deer feeder.
I chose the Moultrie Pro II hanging feeder as Moultrie's best option due to its classic metal design and the addition of the Pro II feeder kit.
This design gives you the highest level of confidence when it comes to protecting your feed from annoying varmints. Hunters through the years have positively reviewed the durability of the metal shell saying, "This thing prevents any raccoons or squirrels from getting into my feeder!"
When it comes to a feeder kit, you really can't go wrong with the Pro Hunter II. It has a programmable timer that allows you to set up to 10 feed times per day with a dispense range of 1-60 sec. Lastly, it has a built-in varmint guard, which only adds to the protection already given to you by the metal shell.
Keep in mind, Moultrie does make a 30-gallon Pro II model in case you're looking for additional feed capacity.

One of the more recent additions to Moultrie's line of deer feeders is the Moultrie Bag Feeder. I labeled this as Moultrie's best gravity feeder due to its unique design (very similar to a DIY deer feeder) - one of the only fabric-built designs on the market today.
The Moultrie Bag Feeder is reasonably priced and holds up to 100 lbs. of deer feed. While it doesn't quite meet the same capacity level of Moultrie's top tripod styles, it does beat out many of their lower-level gravity feeders.
It's hard to say whether or not I really like the fabric material used for the feeder. While it does make the feeder extremely lightweight, producing a great capacity to weight ratio, I'm a little concerned with what varmints might do to this. We've all experienced how relentless squirrels and raccoons can be if they want to get into your feed. I'd honestly hate to see what they would do to a feeder like this.
Overall, I think there are some major concerns with this feeder design, but I still like it as a gravity feeder due to its price, capacity, and ability to easily refill. I think it's up to each individual hunter to figure out if the design will withstand their own hunting conditions.

Moultrie Hoppers
Moultrie hoppers are made out of durable black or green plastic, and are tough enough to stand up to years of abuse from both animals and weather conditions.
Their construction ensures a seal against weather and limits varmints from permanently damaging your feeder. Furthermore, the best part about these hoppers is the fact that Moultrie makes it very easy to order replacements in case anything might happen.
Pro Tip: Try to keep your deer feeders near cover to make deer more comfortable.
Moultrie Feeder Kits
Moultrie offers quite a few different feeder kits that range from the most expensive being the Super Pro Mag to the more affordable All-In-One kit. Each feeder is going to give you a few different options with the most expensive model coming with a lifetime warranty!
I've tested out a few of these feeder kits, and they are great even if you don't pair them with a Moultrie hopper. Furthermore, you can always upgrade these with existing hoppers if you're looking for something with a little more technology and features.
