Best Hard Bow Cases

Best Overall Hard Bow Case

Pelican 1745 Hard Bow Case

Once you get a good look at this case, you’re going to be in awe. Especially when it has all kinds of cool features. The Pelican 1745 Bow Case is made from a super light polymer material. Not only is it durable, but it makes the case itself almost lighter than half of the competitors.

If you hate having to carry a bow case that feels heavy, you may have just found your solution. This has dividers complete with large pockets for all your arrows, tools, and everything in between. You get arrow holders, bumpers, tube straps, accessory pouches, and so much more.

If you want to customize the interior of your case, you have a Molle Strap System that will get the job done for you. It’s a TSA-approved case thanks to the locking latches that comply with their rules and regulations. It also includes a total of six press and pull latches.

This is also easy for its portability. That’s because it has stainless steel bearing wheels that will allow you to move the case around with ease. Not too shabby to have if you are on the go or headed to the woods.

The case is something that we consider to be a premium pick. It’s got plenty of excellent features and it’s going for a premium price. If you are looking for nothing but the best, this might be one of the cases that will do it for you.

What we like:

Where do we begin? Well, for one we love that you have the ability to customize it for extra space. The Molle Strap System will give you the ability to customize the inside of it. If you are looking for a case that will allow you the freedom to create storage space for all your arrows, tools, and the bow itself then this could be the case for you.

It’s portability is something that you’ll appreciate. Since it’s lightweight, you can carry it with you. Or you can use the wheels to your advantage. It’s probably one of the most travel friendly cases we’ve seen up to this point.

We also like that you can be able to keep this well locked without worrying about the case opening up at complete random. The case provides you with excellent protection from the inside and out.

What we dislike:

A dislike of ours was related to the straps. They tend to get loose at times. Not to mention, it’s hard to find placement for them to ensure that they are held down properly.

If your bow is large in size, the straps can be a problem. You may need to invest in straps that may be compatible with your case or do some kind of creative solution to ensure that the bow stays in place.

Some have reported having issues with the bungee tie downs due to attachment difficulties. If you hate wrestling with straps all the time, this might not be the case for you.

Top Rated Hard Bow Case

SKB iSeries 3614 Parallel Limb Hard Bow Case

Next, we will return to the SKB brand to review the iSeries 3614 Parallel Limb Bow Case. Just looking at it, this looks like the ideal case that will have everything you need for arrow storage, holders for tools, and so much more. This measures out to about 34.5 inches in length and is made from materials that will keep water out of the case altogether.

That’s right, it’s waterproof. And it is also impervious to impact. So if you want a case that will withstand plenty of abuse, you’d be hard-pressed to find a case like this anywhere. It’s dustproof, resistant to corrosion, and will not damage easily with hardcore impact. This quality alone is so awesome, you’re already thinking about getting it.

It’s trigger release design, grip handles, and everything in between makes this all part of the military grade design that SKB has perfected. If you are planning to travel with a case like this, here’s the kicker: it is protected by a lifetime warranty. Specifically, this warranty will cover you for life in the event if the airline you are traveling on damages your gear. And you get $1500 content coverage on top of that.

If that isn’t the best thing you can get out of this case (aside from the case features itself), we don’t know what is. This will fit most bows and it is perfect for the bowhunter that always has to trudge through rough terrain to find their favorite vantage point when hunting.

What we like:

There are a handful of things that we liked about it. First, we were quite happy with how sturdy it was. It was tested rigorously for impact and water. You’ll feel happy knowing that the gear inside will not be damaged should you drop it from quite a tall drop or if it’s submerged in water.

It’s military grade at its finest. If you are looking for a case that is easy for storage, transport, and can last a long time, this might be your cup of coffee.

What we dislike:

The accessory boxes that come with the case are sold separately. Probably not the worst thing in the world, but it’s nice to at least have some kind of package deal in place. And if you are looking to save money on additional gear rather than spending on it separately, it might be a slight convenience, right?

This case is inside and out one of the toughest and will definitely get the job done for the bowhunter.

Best New To Market Hard Bow Case

Case Club Parallel Limb Hard Bow Case

One of the newest to market bow case that we’ll be taking a look at is the Case Club Parallel Limb Bow Case. This is a waterproof case that will keep water out even when it’s submerged in water. When you're outdoors and drop something in the water by accident, it may be permanently damaged depending on what it is.

But you will never have to worry about losing your gear due to water damage. This case also has the ability to hold bows up to nearly 41 inches in length. And it has enough space to hold up to a dozen arrows.

For easy transportation, this case has a carry handle and tote wheels so you can easily move it along. If you are looking for a case that is rust-proof, you’ll be happy to know that it has a hydro absorbent silica gel package that is used to protect it from rust. It’s also airline approved so you can use it as checked luggage and not have any additional issues.

What we like:

There are a number of things that we liked that we’ve already covered. But we’ll say it again if we have to. It’s perhaps one of the most indestructible cases out there. It’s impervious to impact, keeps water out, and does a great job of holding your bow and arrows in one nicely neat and organized case.

What we dislike:

We don’t mind a case that doesn’t have the ability to fit quivers. But it might be a problem for you if you are looking for a case that does. We also think there could be more space for those that use large sites that are measured at 1 inch away from the riser. Otherwise, at its current space the sights will protrude into the compartment where the arrows are stored.

Most Affordable Hard Bow Case

Plano Protector Series Compact Hard Bow Case

If you are looking for a bow case that is compact in size, say hello to the Plano Protector Series Compact Bow Case. This has the patented Pillarlock system to ensure that your bow stays in the case and doesn’t slip out. Inside the case, it has a high density foam that will protect the bow from any shock that may occur due to impact.

As mentioned before, the Pillarlock system will prevent the case from ever getting crushed at all. If you are looking for a bow case that might just be almost indestructible, there is no doubt that this one in particular will deliver the goods. It’s also lightweight, which means you can be able to carry this around without having to feel like you are carrying a heavy dumbbell in your arm,

Aside from your bow, you also have a storage space for your arrows. And that could be the best option for you if you don’t want to carry all kinds of stuff and have no free hand. For the price it’s going for, you might just snag this off the shelf for all of its excellent features and qualities.

What we like:

Right off the bat, we loved the fact that this case is excellent in quality. And the price tag is pretty reasonable for a case that may be impossible to bust apart. If you are looking for excellent quality at a good price, this is the bow case that you must get.

We also like that it has plenty of space to hold your arrows. You can be able to keep them all in one place. The arrows won’t move around or get loose in the slot itself. You still might have enough space in order to store some other tools.

Lastly, it’s a case that is airline-approved so you can be able to check it in and not worry about tie ups at the airport or something similar.

What we dislike:

Figuring out what we didn’t like was difficult to do. Even though the pouch to store arrows and tools is a good idea, we’re not too fond of having to risk getting cut by your arrowheads when reaching for a tool. And believe us, we’ve seen it happen.

For this reason, we would have liked it if they included a smaller sized pouch that would be reserved for tools only. It’s a suggestion for a minor improvement. But other than that, it’s a pretty dang good bow case to have.

Things to Consider When Buying A Hard Bow Case

Airline Approved

If you plan on traveling with your bow, you will need a case that is airline approved. TSA requires certain locks that need to be equipped in order for the case to be considered approved by the airline as checked luggage. If the locks are sturdy and proven to be secure, it can be included. Pay close attention to the product listings and reviews to make sure if the case you’re interested in is airline approved.

    Size

Not all bows are created equal. Nor are they the same size. So it is important for you to choose a case that will fit your bow based on length and width. Measure your bow and then determine which case will be able to easily fit it.

    Waterproof

If there is one thing that your case needs to be: it must be waterproof. That’s because you want no water to gain access to the inside of the case and damage your bow or arrows. Water damage can cause metal parts of your equipment to rust over time. Furthermore, you don’t want your equipment to get ruined at all.

    Price vs. Durability

You may be able to find a case that is durable, even if the price is on the low end. But the higher the price, the more durable the case may be. The higher price points can be due to the fact that it may have additional features.
