The “Old Style” duck call is a reproduction of one of Butch Richenback’s, founder of Rich-N-Tone Duck Calls, early style of duck calls. This style is when he was still trying to figure out the shape of his call. The styling was heavily influenced by the duck call produced by his uncle Clyde Hancock, 1943 World Duck Calling Champion. He first set out to build a small call that would easily fit in ones shirt pocket, unlike larger calls made back then. The call was made with a ¼’ hole bore to produce a quiet call desired heavily at the time by green timber hunters on the Grand Prairie. We have kept the same sound and looks to this early little call, along with adding an o-ring and a lanyard groove to aid in preventing cracked barrels and lost stoppers.
